Wool. Lots of wool.

This is very nice!

I agree with Cormaster9000 - it's very soothing. The volume levels and amount of reverberation on all instruments are just right. And well, the atmosphere you've created is pretty damn perfect if I may say it myself. :D Though I think a fading ending would fit better.

Something that would be a nice addition (but certainly not necessary) would be some water droplets or some other kind of water sound in the background. Just a suggestion...

Favorited for sure!

Lamplighter responds:

Whee for wool!

Glad you like it! Fading enough would great idea... that last time I tried that it was working on the Redemption remix :) I think background water would be awesome! I never things of these things! Glad you can edit this, because that's one of the things I'm going to add. Thanks for the suggestions, good Sir!

Hell yeah!

Yay, one of my favorite Doom songs. :D

It's so very dark and ominous, and the strings sounds really good. Seriously. The strings are great!

Great!!!

*goes to play Doom*

Lublub194 responds:

I played doom the second after making this song. I forgot how much fun the game is

Thanks for the review! I've been wanting to use these strings for something... something awesome, and doom falls under that category.

Thanks for the review :D

I totally LOVE this song!

The score is way too low. I don't know why everyone is complaining so much. :/

Oh well, to the actual review. Most of the song is a long build-up with some occasional breaks. It keeps a good flow throughout the whole song and the chosen instruments fits perfectly. It makes me feel happy and it makes me wanna continue listening.

Faved for sure :D
Good work!

MennoniteMafia808 responds:

Thanks for being sensible :P Most people don't appreciate chill-out music, they just wanna bang their heads.

Sweet!

This is a nice remix. Excellent work on the drums and, well, good choice of all instruments. I especially like the synth at 1:04.

Great work! :D

Lamplighter responds:

A ten from the man himself! I must go and frolick in a flowery meadow, if only there were such a thing around here. >:( But seriously, I'm glad you like it! Whee!

Moar randomness :3

I think this song could get quite awesome with some more instruments and better quality. It kinda reminds me of Radiohead for some reason.

Gooboy responds:

Heh I dont know if I should be happy or not for that, I love Radiohead, but being compared to them kinda makes me feel that your giving me to much credit :p

Deep into the caverns...

I really like this song (slash loop). It sounds professional and it fits the title perfectly. Loops perfectly too! :D Good choice of instruments. The brass (I think it's called that) really adds a lot to the whole thing. You also put together the structure of the song very well.

I think this is the best RL song yet. I've said it before and I'm sayin' it again: keep up the great work! ^__^

Darkmaster603 responds:

heh, thanks! I tried a new composing style with this song, and I'm pretty happy with it. I also messed with filters and delay and LFO things to make the ears not get bored, it's just a whole new level of customization I've never utilized before. this has also been my first ambient track, so it's different not having a song with a lead in it lol.

Thanks for the review and the listen =)

Quite good, but needs a little work

The piano sounds very "midi", as mentioned before, and there wasn't much of a progression in the song, but I thought the strings sounded very nice. The song was just OK at first but when the strings started, well, that's when the song started for real! And, yeah... don't know what more to say. Keep up the good work. :)

Darkmaster603 responds:

Heh, thanks. I agree this needs a lot of work, it's just I totally forgot about the contest lol. I'm redoing this, and making it much better. The computer I had to export this on was really crappy, and I originally had about 10 instruments in it. Like I said, I'm redoing this, and making i much better =P

Thanks for the listen and review though!

Mmmm mmm

It sounds very professional, and it's one of your best songs I must say. Everything flowed perfectly throughout the whole song.

The instruments and percussions you picked are very clear and fits very well together. The melody is totally sweet and easy to follow. It's quite a happy and brightening tune.

I really feel like I am up in the sky among the clouds. Over Africa. The percussions you use sounds very African. I just love that!

This is quality stuff! Can't wait to hear the rest of the album! :D

Lamplighter responds:

Professional? Cool! I definitely think this is one of my best songs, but professional-sounding is more that I expected. :)

Still not a fan of the bass, but I can agree with the other instruments fitting well. I actually took the time to put sounds together myself (except the BooBass, o course) so I think that helps.

It must be the bongos that make it sound African... and that's cool because I love Africa! Never actually been there, though...

Thanks for the review, I'll let you know as soon as I upload other tunes from the album!

Awww

It's so sad. :'( It's also, as said, very calm and easy to listen to. Sounds very medieval in a way.

Keep up the work :)

Darkmaster603 responds:

Thanks! I never meant for this to be sad, but it just came out that way. Glad you liked it though.

Better

Sounds much better than the first one. It reminds me a lot of an old classical piece (of which the name I can't remember). I like how it got that tonal sound to it. It's simple, but it sounds great.

Darkmaster603 responds:

yea, I always really liked tonality in music, and have now figured out the secret. I wish I hadn't though, because it is so simple to create and makes it harder for me to appreciate, but it can make a real moving sound that's easy to listen to. Glad you liked it =)
