Wow.......dot....dotdot

You mix the classical and the DnB genre in such a good way. I like the quality of the song, it really sounds professional. The drums, the strings, the piano, just wow! This is simply yet another masterpiece of yours. Oh yes.

You just got faved, btw. :D

!!! :D

I love the beat and the synths you used. The changes in the song keeps it interesting all the time, but I think you could improve that voice a bit. Maybe just add some reverb. I like the ending too, but it ends very abruptly; there's no no room for the sounds to fade out. Other than that, this is really one awesome tune!

I have to listen to more of your stuff. Keep up the good work!

Wow!

I totally love this one! The beat is awesome. Hmm, but I recognize the main synth from somewhere... it too is awesome anyway. The strings sounds very clear and simple, just the way I like it. Overall, it's a great techno song!

I can't wait to hear more of your stuff.

Mmmm, relaxing

I had forgot about this song. You did very well on this remix. I like when people make slow acoustic remixes of fast trance songs for some reason. But I thinks it's a bit short. I wanted to hear more. :) I don't have any more complains on anything. Piano, sax, percussion, all sounded nice. Great work dude!

Lamplighter responds:

I'm glad you liked it! Sometimes being slower is a good thing.

The trouble is, I think this song sounds nice, and I can't think of anything to add. If I just make it longer, it'll be repetitive. I'll just have to think up a new sax melody or piano solo... hmm. This is going to be fun!

Thanks for the review, this will be finished soon!

So sad :'(

It sounds really great, but it's too short.

I liked that wind effect in the beginning and that clock sound. Maybe you could have included even more sound effects, like footsteps and someone mumbling a prayer.

Anyway, the violins sounded great by themselves, but the piano really adds something when it starts. The atmosphere is just superb. Great work!

Btw, it does loop quite good, but not perfectly (in case you didn't notice :] ).

Lamplighter responds:

Hooray for reviews!

Yeah, I do agree this could use quite a few more effects. I'm going to find some footstep sounds as soon as the site I use for that stuff gets over it's problems. I'll also try to record some of my own vocals to play in the background. My mic is pretty cheap, so it'll be a challenge for me!

I'm still working on looping, but I'm glad this didn't completely screw it up! Thanks a lot for the constructive criticism, and I'll add finishing this to my "to do" list!

A bit dull

... and short. The intro was good, but not the ending. :/ I liked the clocks and the low-pitched strings (or whatever it was) the most. And, as said, the melody is quite sad. Fits good in a game or movie.

Keep up the good work!

It's ok

I know you know it's short, but I'll say it anyway. It's short!

some space here... :D

Anyway, to the actual review. A little enjoyable track you've made here. I like the guitar at some places, but it could need some more work. It seems very, idk, simple and unrealistic. I liked when the drums and the lower tones of the guitar started. It's a little too high-pithed for my taste, but it's quite an ok song.

Very classic

I haven't played Animal Crossing, so I don't know the original song. But the sound sounds kinda old, like taken directly from an old move. The only thing that's missing is the crackling sound that usually appear. Yeah, that would fit sooo good. But I guess that's your call. :) Great work, nevertheless!

Lamplighter responds:

Oh... that's a fantastic suggestion! I'm going to upload the static-y version right after I reply here... Thanks for the tip and the review!

Actually, the updater is being a butt. I'll wait until later to put the crackled version up.

Soothing

It really gave me an inner peace while listening to it. So calm and uplifting.

The only thing I didn't like was the abrupt ending. There was no real fade-out or room for the echo/reverb to stop. But the actual song was superb! It would fit perfect for an ending of a movie. The melody of the piano sounded great, and the strings amplified the the whole feeling of the song. I really liked guitar solo too. It, as Wartooth below said, topped the whole thing off.

Overall, you did great! Yes you did :D

Darkmaster603 responds:

Heh thanks!

I noticed some reason it didn't leave any extra measure, so now I gotta spend another hour rendering it in FL X_X

Thanks for reviewing and not screaming at me for the pm at night =P Glad you liked it!

This is the stuff

I've never heard the original, but this sounds great. You have mixed all instruments very well. I especially like the accordion and the strings. The drums and the bass sounded very good too, and that harp also has an impact on the song.

The only reason I'm giving this a 9 is just because it's an cover. Otherwise, great work!
