Nice piece

It's a nice melody: calm and a bit sad. I like the piano sound you're using, but I didn't like the two end notes very much, they should have been smoother.

It may not be a masterpiece, but it sounded pretty good. Thumbs up.

PS: I'm tired -_-

Lamplighter responds:

Thanks for the review! I definitely see what you mean about the last notes there. My sister wanted to hear a climactic ending, and I forgot to change the volume levels back. Anyway, glad you liked it. It was pretty simple, but I thought it was good enough to go up here.

I'm tired, too. And it's only four in the afternoon here. :|

Mmmm, relaxing

I had forgot about this song. You did very well on this remix. I like when people make slow acoustic remixes of fast trance songs for some reason. But I thinks it's a bit short. I wanted to hear more. :) I don't have any more complains on anything. Piano, sax, percussion, all sounded nice. Great work dude!

Lamplighter responds:

I'm glad you liked it! Sometimes being slower is a good thing.

The trouble is, I think this song sounds nice, and I can't think of anything to add. If I just make it longer, it'll be repetitive. I'll just have to think up a new sax melody or piano solo... hmm. This is going to be fun!

Thanks for the review, this will be finished soon!

So sad :'(

It sounds really great, but it's too short.

I liked that wind effect in the beginning and that clock sound. Maybe you could have included even more sound effects, like footsteps and someone mumbling a prayer.

Anyway, the violins sounded great by themselves, but the piano really adds something when it starts. The atmosphere is just superb. Great work!

Btw, it does loop quite good, but not perfectly (in case you didn't notice :] ).

Lamplighter responds:

Hooray for reviews!

Yeah, I do agree this could use quite a few more effects. I'm going to find some footstep sounds as soon as the site I use for that stuff gets over it's problems. I'll also try to record some of my own vocals to play in the background. My mic is pretty cheap, so it'll be a challenge for me!

I'm still working on looping, but I'm glad this didn't completely screw it up! Thanks a lot for the constructive criticism, and I'll add finishing this to my "to do" list!

Very classic

I haven't played Animal Crossing, so I don't know the original song. But the sound sounds kinda old, like taken directly from an old move. The only thing that's missing is the crackling sound that usually appear. Yeah, that would fit sooo good. But I guess that's your call. :) Great work, nevertheless!

Lamplighter responds:

Oh... that's a fantastic suggestion! I'm going to upload the static-y version right after I reply here... Thanks for the tip and the review!

Actually, the updater is being a butt. I'll wait until later to put the crackled version up.

Soothing

It really gave me an inner peace while listening to it. So calm and uplifting.

The only thing I didn't like was the abrupt ending. There was no real fade-out or room for the echo/reverb to stop. But the actual song was superb! It would fit perfect for an ending of a movie. The melody of the piano sounded great, and the strings amplified the the whole feeling of the song. I really liked guitar solo too. It, as Wartooth below said, topped the whole thing off.

Overall, you did great! Yes you did :D

Darkmaster603 responds:

Heh thanks!

I noticed some reason it didn't leave any extra measure, so now I gotta spend another hour rendering it in FL X_X

Thanks for reviewing and not screaming at me for the pm at night =P Glad you liked it!

Lovely

Maybe not as good as .:Realization:., but it sure is an incredible piece. I find it very relaxing, but strong at the same time.

You did very well on the piano, and the strings just increases the overall feeling of the whole song. But I think the intro and the ending is too short. Maybe you could have placed the ocean sounds a bit more into the song. Right now you only hear a single wave each time.

The song ends very quickly; there's no good fade-out. A small, but noticeable thing. Nothing too serious. :)

And as said, the title fits the song perfectly. Great work on this one!

Darkmaster603 responds:

Thanks for the critic, now I know what I need to work on!

Thanks for taking the time to listen and review!

Another unnoticed song...

I know it's hopeless to get traffic sometimes, but you seems extra unlucky...

But onto the song. I liked this one too. I liked the kicks and the sound of the guitar. The melody is pretty catchy I must say; it got a bit of a Egyptian feeling over it. But it's missing some kind of bass, and it's very short.

Keep up the great work! Please make more :3

Thanks for the review! To be honest,I don't really think I did too well in this song, but I am glad you enjoyed it! I am still working on my skills in fl, so I hope new songs I submit will be better :D

No reviews? No votes!?

This one seriously needs more attention. I mean, for a first song this is GREAT! It's kind of a mix between Crash Bandicoot and Ape Escape music. The atmosphere is great throughout the whole song. That steelpan (I think it's called that) really adds something to the song (but the volume on it is too low). And I just love the drums. In fact, you did very well on all instruments. There was nothing I didn't like! I would love to hear more from you :D

Iownyoujk responds:

Thanks! I kinda experimented with a bunch of beats, added them together, and I guess it didn't sound too bad. I have to be honest though, the techno and beats throughout the song were not made by me, but were added.Soon enough I should be able to make my own and add them :P.

I thought I recognized the sound

I think the song is too fast for gambling, if it's not gambling on a Chocobo race. :D But you did great on the piano and the drums. Typical Final Fantasy music. Good work!

ZiggyZack99 responds:

Thanks!

Hmmm

I actually liked the drums the most, even though they were simple. I also liked the piano and the quiet flute noise. But I think the song ended to quickly... no wait, I just saw it was a loop :P lol. Anyway, I've never heard the original so I got nothing to compare it to. Great work nevertheless!

ZiggyZack99 responds:

Wahoo, fluties. Thanks.
